Most outstation cab pricing in India still assumes a round trip. Book a drop from Chennai to Pondicherry and you are often quoted for the vehicle's journey back as well — 300 kilometres of billing for 150 kilometres of travel.

That return leg is a real cost for the operator, but it is not inevitable. If somebody is watching demand on both sides of a route, the vehicle heading back can carry a paying passenger instead of air. That is the work behind this site: every route here exists in both directions, deliberately, so that the empty leg gets smaller over time and the fare reflects it.
